911 Memorial Memorial to the Chester residents who died in the attack on September 11th. Each year the Chester Kiwanis Club partners with other community and faith based organizations to pause to remember the lives taken from this earth on September 11, 2001. We work with others to plan appropriate services for that day. We especially invite the younger members of our community to participate and to remember this horrific day from our past.

Kids Day Kiwanis has a Kid's day which invites parents to bring children to play games and run races. The children receive ribbons for First, Second and Third place. They are also served Hot Dogs and Ice Cream sundaes. The Chester School District partners with us to provide teachers and students to help run the games and work with the youngsters. The Town of Chester works with us to provide the equipment for the games and one of the Town Board members donates the ice cream for the sundaes.

Rose Day Club members sell a dozen roses for Thanksgiving. We begin in October to take orders for a dozen of roses that arrive in a box that protects them and enable us to provide a service at this special time of the year. In recent years, individuals have purchased additional dozens and have asked for the roses to be delivered along with the "meals on wheels" deliveries. This added touch has been extremely well received by our neighbors.
Scholarship Committee Oversees issues with the Foundation.
Toyland Committee On a Saturday morning in December the members of the Chester Kiwanis Club arrive early to enable those individuals in the community who find it difficult to be able to provide holiday gifts for the young members of their families to come to the school and select appropriate gifts. Beginning in November, our members place large boxes in key locations in the community to collect toys and items for this event. We serve hundreds of children each year. And we enable the family members to know that the holiday will not pass without the children receiving a gift. We have been doing this project every year since the 1980's.
